Membership Eligibility
RMAI follows an inclusive, India-appropriate, experience-driven approach to membership.
Eligibility is assessed primarily on professional experience, role, and engagement with risk management, rather than mandatory overseas certifications.
Student Membership

- Students currently enrolled in recognised universities, colleges, or professional institutions
Associate Membership
Eligibility
- Graduates and working professionals with interest or involvement in:
Risk management, governance, compliance, audit, insurance, banking, finance, ESG, cyber risk, technology risk, BCP, or related areas - No minimum experience requirement
Fellow Membership
Eligibility
- Senior professionals, consultants, academicians, and practitioners
- Typically individuals with:
- 10+ years of overall professional experience, and
- Meaningful exposure to risk management, governance, audit, compliance, insurance, banking, ESG, cyber risk, or related domains
Formal qualifications or certifications may be considered as supporting credentials, but are not mandatory.
All Fellow memberships are subject to review and approval by RMAI.

Membership Activation & Approval process
To make joining RMAI simple and seamless, the following process is followed:
- Make membership payment and complete the membership form Provisional membership will be activated. Please also fill up this form – Click Here
- Application is reviewed by RMAI (mainly for Fellow and Corporate memberships)
- Upon approval, official membership ID card and certificate are issued
- Member gains access to newsletter and resources.
RMAI reserves the right to seek additional information or suggest an alternative membership category, where appropriate.
