Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has asked the officials to include development of water in ‘Jal Jeevan Hairyali’ mission, which was launched by the state government. The CM has said that the aim of including the development of water in ‘Jal Jeevan Hariyali’ mission is to deal with fire accidents.
In a meeting on the presentation of Bihar Fire Extinguishing Services Rules 2020, Mr Kumar said, the instant and uninterrupted access to water supply during fire emergencies should be given top priority. It should be included in ‘Jal Jeevan Hariyali’ mission launched by the state government to protect the environment from ill effects of climate changes.”
“Requirements of water could be fulfilled with its availability in tanks, ponds and other water bodies,” Mr Kumar said, stressing on the fact of striking a balance between disaster management and environment protection
